Edmonton Wedding Photographer – The Ultimate Guide

I am an Edmonton wedding photographer who is honoured to have the opportunity to document the beautiful and precious moments of your special day. I have been photographing weddings since 2009 and shot over 150 weddings. The weddings I have shot vary in size, they range from 60 people to 400 people.

I adept in contemporary, artistic, and photojournalism styles of wedding photography. With my artistry and experience, I do my utmost to get the best shots that bring out the spirit and beauty of your wedding. I seize the “in-between” and fleeting moments to ensure you have the best stories told by photographers on your wedding day.

On your wedding day, your wedding will be the only wedding that I book on that day. You will have 100% of the time with me during the time that you are booked with me. I never book more than one wedding per day. I will also be the main photographer for your wedding unless there is an emergency that is beyond my control (for an example car accident).

I will bring my own lighting, which includes three flashes and two light stands. I am equipped to photograph both outdoor and indoor situations including low light situations inside a church. I also have backup equipment to prepare for the worst.

The hours of coverage depend on the wedding photography package you chose. The coverage ranges from 6 hours to 10 hours depending on the needs. Second shooters are available upon request. Travel fees are not charged for Edmonton and the surrounding area.

I have a few second shooters who I work with on a regular basis. My second shooters are experienced wedding photographers with formal photography education and have photographed many weddings with me. On a wedding day, I typically wear dark colour clothes so that I don’t stand out so much as I am moving around to take photos are your wedding. Our dress code is business casual; my second shooter and I do not wear jeans to weddings!

On the week of your wedding, I would need a schedule for your wedding day so I can be prepared for each event before they happen. It is also recommended that you write down a list of family members you would like to have photos with during the family photo time so no one gets missed out. Giving your family photo list to someone in your family to call people out will make it go a lot smoother as well. For formal photos, if you are not good with heels, I would recommend that you bring flats for walking and only wear your heels for photos.

On a wedding day, clients can expect at least 500 images from their wedding day. Images are delivered on a USB flash drive. Wedding albums and canvases are available upon request.  I do not limit the number of images I will edit. All images that you will receive will be edited. All your wedding photos will go through a basic edit, which includes cropping, colour correction and adding contrast. The photos that will be included in the wedding album will be further edited. A small selection of your photos will be in black and white while most of them will be in full colour.

The engagement session is typically 1 hour long and 30 digital images from your engagement session are included. The turnaround time for the engagement session is one week. Many clients choose to display their engagement photos at their weddings. You will have the printing right to my digital images, which means you can go to any photo lab and have these images printed. Wedding albums are available upon request. The wedding album price includes design and one free revision.

The turnaround time for photos is around 4 weeks. All of my wedding photography packages include digital images on a flash drive, which means you will have the printing rights to my images. The retainer is 50% upon contract signing and the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding date. Most clients book my services 6 months – 18 months in advance. If you plan on getting married in the summer months, I would recommend contacting me as soon as you have your venue booked as the summer dates are very popular.
