Consultation

We start with a thorough consultation to discuss your vision, preferences, and any special requests. This ensures that the session is perfectly tailored to your needs.

Photoshoot

Newborn sessions typically take about 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for various poses, feeding, changing, and cuddling breaks. I use a variety of props and backdrops to create beautiful, artistic images.

Image Selection and Editing

After the session, you will choose your favorite shots from a carefully curated selection. Each chosen image is meticulously edited to enhance its beauty and ensure timeless quality.

Quick Turnaround and Delivery

You will receive high-resolution digital images via digital download within one week. These photos are ready for immediate printing and sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare for a newborn photography session?

Newborns are best photographed within the first 3–10 days. Contact me while you’re still pregnant to mark your due date on my calendar. Notify me when you go into labor to schedule the session a few days after your baby is born.

What should we wear for the photo session? Simple clothing in neutral tones like beige, cream, white, grey, black, blush, or brown works best. Avoid busy patterns. Skin-on-skin portraits are also a beautiful option; consider a strapless top or tank for these shots.

Can we use our own props?

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring any family heirlooms, toys, hats, or other props. We’ll review them together to determine what works best for the session.

Where are the sessions held?

Newborn sessions take place in my home studio on the west end of Edmonton. Due to the amount of equipment and props, I do not travel for newborn sessions.

How long before I can see my photos?

The turnaround time is typically one week. Photos will be delivered via digital download with printing rights.

Are family and sibling shots included?

Yes, family and sibling shots are included and encouraged.
